I love making authentic connections by sharing the moments that make us human, from our deepest pain to our greatest joy. I strive to empower my clients to take charge of their own personal journey, because I believe that we are all innately capable of healing. As your therapist, my role is to guide you on this journey with compassion, humor, and creativity. I hope to reconnect my clients with themselves, their community, and our planet, because healing does not happen in isolation.
I take a holistic, systems-based approach to therapy. This means that I consider not only the individual, but also the relationships and systems that impact them. I specialize in trauma recovery, finding purpose, feeling shame, intimacy concerns, and mood irregularities. I enjoy working with individuals, couples/partners, groups, LGBTQ+ populations, and marginalized identities. I prefer to use an eco-therapy approach that brings our relationships with the natural world into the therapeutic setting, including feelings of climate anxiety and ecological grief. Eco-therapy incorporates the mind-body connection, so we will be getting into our bodies, maybe doing some Yoga, going on a walk, or just smelling the flowers together.
Before becoming a therapist, I was a wilderness therapy guide, Yoga teacher, server, and whitewater raft guide. Although I now call Colorado home, I have also felt at home in Hawaii, Ohio, and Thailand, where I spent time growing up. When I'm not hanging out with you, I'm probably mountain biking, rafting, or playing with my puppy, Nina. I'm excited to connect with you!
