Ellen (Xiaoxuan) Zhu, LPC

Denver Location

I am a licensed professional counselor and earned my Master of Counseling degree from Arizona State University. I am passionate about working with individuals who have been struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, LGBTQ issues, and life transitions. I know that support may look different to each individual, so I utilize an integrative approach to support my clients, including Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Self-Compassion approach.

I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental space for clients’ healing journey. During our time together, we will work as a team to achieve the growth that you seek and deserve. To help you create positive changes, we will discuss different coping skills, process emotions and feelings, and explore the influence that your past experiences has on you.

When not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two corgis and exploring Colorado. I lived in Arizona for ten years before coming to Colorado. I am happy that I could escape the Arizona heat, and enjoy the beautiful seasons in Colorado. I look forward to working with you!
